Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Head of Human Resources and Administration to act as a strategic partner to the organization by embedding corporate HR Strategies into day-to-day work and providing professional guidance and support to relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements & Skills
- 12+ years’ work experience in the retail industry is required with more than 7 years’ cognate job experience in leadership position. Experienced as HR Generalist is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or any other field.
- Any relevant professional certification (CIPM/SHRM/HRCI/SPHR/PHR etc.) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse, cross-functional team and manage HR functions across multiple locations.
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic industry environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good analytical skills to assess and address HR-related challenges
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and HR best practices
- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools
- Ability to foster high-performance culture
- Conflict management
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive a high-performance culture.
- Work with senior leadership to identify workforce requirements, anticipate HR needs, and support long-term business growth and change management.
- Conduct regular HR assessments, including skills gap analysis, workforce planning, and organizational structure reviews.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring timely hiring of qualified talent across all departments and locations.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, and conduct interviews.
- Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across departments to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Facilitate a strong leadership and coaching culture.
- Develop training and development programs that align with employee career paths and organizational needs.
- Implement leadership development programs to build a pipeline of future leaders.
- Lead the implementation of performance management systems to evaluate and support employee productivity and growth.
- Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) to manage employee data, track HR metrics, and generate reports for senior leadership.
