
Job Position: Junior Accountant

Compensation & Benefits: Base pay – N300k – N500
Overview
The purpose of this job position is to ensure effective accounting across the organisation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend solutions to business and financial problems.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Carrying out bank and other ledger reconciliations as required.
- Work with the company accounting software and generate Weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Discharge all job functions in line with established legislation
- Assist the external auditors to carry out year-end audits and ensure all recommendations are implemented.
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or business administration or Banking & Finance
- 3+ years cognate experience, 2 years must be in construction
- Relevant professional certifications
